So you want to know about SEO. (Search Engine Optimization)

This is a short introduction so its best if you read thru this before you jump into all the steps which will be listed throughout this post.
SEO is such a deep category & very time consuming so we have to break it up in various posts to cover EVERYTHING.
If you're thinking that you can knock this off in a couple hours or days, you're dreaming.
Most people usually give up before getting 1/2 way through everything. Only a mere 4% of people actually accomplish this to its fullest.
If you think you can be 1 of the 4%, you have my blessings and I wish you luck.
But, before you get into knowing what its all about, you need to ask yourself 2 questions;

1- Do I really need to optimize my site? Is it necessary?
2- Will it put me on the front page of the search engines, especially google?

Actually, sorry thats 3 questions. lol
So, lets answer that 2nd question up front. The straight out answer is No. Since 2016 google and other search engines have changed alot.
The old ways of keywords and social media, backlinks, etc. just don't fly anymore. 2020 has brought alot of changes with SEO & advertising etc.
Site maps are merely a paved road for google bots to follow, whether or not your content is all over the map means nothing to a bot.
I have no doubt you have emails coming out your ying-yang about seo. People and companies offering all kinds of deals and promotions to
optimize your site. And you've probably read hundreds of articles where sites tell you that you need to optimize your site to be at the top of
the list or be on the front page of google. Don't believe everything you see or read.
Which brings us to the 1st question.
I'm not going to say that you should not optimize your site. I will say that you should consider doing whats necessary to have your P's & Q's in order.
But do you really NEED to optimize it,,,,it's not a full requirement in 2020 but if you follow some of the guidelines that we will be posting throughout
the next couple of posts, you will be happy with the results of having more people visiting your site.

So, now that you have the answer to those particular questions, its your choice whether or not you should concentrate on SEO. But bear in mind as I
previously stated, it's a very long road and it will take hundreds of your man-hours to get close, not to mention years of follow-up. You can't
start with the basics and come to a complete stop just when things are starting to show traffic to your site. Think of the big guys like Amazon or Ebay
etc. None of them gave up until recently when all the new changes came into effect by the search engines and our anti-spamming laws. But since they are
now at the top of the food chain, it doesn't matter to them anymore, however for the rest of us who want to reach the top of that latter, its much harder
to reach that goal with the restrictions implemented throughout our virtual world.

And now, without further adue, I'm posting the breakdown or checklist of all the proceedures you will need to go through in order to optimize your site.
As I stated earlier, this is an extensive amount of work so it will be broken down into several posts as listed below. You can go thru each post
seperately 1 at a time so that you don't get totally frustrated with a novel that takes days of reading. You can read step by step at your own leasure.

We are also including a download in a Microsoft excel (xml) so you can print it out and go thru the proceedures at your own pace rather than returning to read each post
seperately.
This download is the compliments of "Iban Dominguez" whom we had the pleasure to credit for his hard work but, we had to update several portions
due to the constant changing laws & protocols.

Although our SEO steps are quite extensive, they are the proper and most complete ways of "doing it right" and doing it completely. You will find many
sites and articles online that give you the basic requirements but, remember the old saying; "you get what you pay for," Well this is another
example of that. You can cheap out and try doing things the minimal way as many articles state, or you can follow this proceedure and leave no
stone unturned.
